Since the Gold Coast trip, we've been relaxing a lot more and focusing on school work as the second half of the semester is already halfway through. Time is absolutely flying over here I can't believe we only have a month and a half until we head back to the states! All my friends at home are finished with their sophomore year of college already and have gone home to start summer work, even a lot of study abroad students are home from their trips too.
One of my Australian roommates is going to come visit me in New York for Christmas break which I'm really excited for! I'm picking her up on my way home from USC, and then when I go back to school at the end of break she'll get to see the whole east coast of the country and fly home from Charlotte! She told me she's never even gotten to see snow so it's going to be really cool to get to show her that and stuff like the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and the city all decorated for New Year's!
On another note, there were 2 trips last weekend where all of the guys on Evatt went to Melbourne and all the girls went to the Gold Coast, meanwhile myself and a bunch of other girls from J Block decided to stay here and have our own fun and save some money! One night 4 of us decided to sleep outside so that we could all be in the same area since our roommates had disappeared which ended up being a lot of fun!
The last week was just recovery time for everyone who went on the trips so nobody has really been doing a whole lot, plus as the seasons change to winter it's cold season and I was lucky enough to get sick :( But even with that all I keep thinking is that I'm still in Australia so there's no way I could ever be mad!
