This past weekend we decided to take a trip home with my roommate Matt who lives in a town called Coff's Harbour. We would have been happy just having nice home cooked meals for a few days, but we got so much more than that. He lives in a beach town, and his backyard is actually a full beach. We had 2 fires out there and got to play with a boomerang (of course we ended up losing it in the water). He took us all around the town of Coff's and we saw The Big Banana (a random big statue in the town), climb up to the top of Mutinbird Island, and take pictures at a few lookout points. We went out for Thai the last night which was delicious, and the night before they had people over for a nice Aussie BBQ with steak and sausages. My favorite part was that on our last day we went to a place called The Pet Porpoise Pool and got to watch a dolphin/seal show, and got pictures of them kissing each of us :) Matt (american matt) and I got to actually go up and feed the dolphins holding a fish up in the air where they jumped up and grabbed it, and after that we got to feed some penguins! We headed back to Newcastle at around 9am on Tuesday morning for Nick to start studying for his final test, and started packing everything up! CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE LEAVING ALREADY!!!!!!
